Louis Couderc Gentiane Myrtille 1.0L

Product information "Louis Couderc Gentiane Myrtille 1.0L"

The time-honored Louis Couderc distillery was founded in 1908 in Aurillac, in the heart of the Cantal region of France, and remains renowned for its masterful production of authentic liqueurs. For three generations, the craft has been cultivated here with passion, using only regional ingredients. For their La Gentiane Myrtille liqueur, fresh gentian root is used, which matures over several months in a meticulous maceration process. Combined with hand-picked, ripe blueberries, this creates an exceptional liqueur that unites the alpine bitterness of the root with the fruity sweetness of the berries. On the nose, an intense aroma of earthy gentian unfolds, accompanied by a delicate fruit note. On the palate, the powerful, spicy bitterness is initially apparent, before the blueberry subtly emerges, lending the flavor an elegant roundness. The structure is well-balanced, and the finish is pleasantly long with a fruity-tart nuance. It is best enjoyed chilled, neat, or as a sophisticated base for creative cocktails.
