As early as 1908, Louis Couderc opened his first boutique for authentic fruit creams and liqueurs in the small town of Aurillac in the French region of Cantal. For three generations, the company has dedicated itself to the traditional craftsmanship of producing high-quality gentian spirits, liqueurs, and brandies, a philosophy that remained unchanged even after a change of ownership in 2003. All natural ingredients, such as flavorings, blossoms, and fruits, are sourced from the respective region, underscoring the strong connection to the Auvergne. Ratafia has been produced for centuries in many parts of France and boasts a long tradition. The basis for this special Louis Couderc Ratafia is brandy and grape must from select regional grape varieties. On the nose and palate, this mild Ratafia presents itself as sweet and fruity, with a refined and understated character. An elegant refreshment made from the finest grapes, it is perfect as an aperitif before a meal.
