Pràban na Linne Ltd. is the producer of The Gaelic Whiskies, a small, niche company founded by Sir Ian Noble in 1976 on the Isle of Skye. Its headquarters are located on the idyllic Sleat peninsula, at the historic stone pier of Eilean Iarmain, offering spectacular views across the Sound to the distant hills of Knoydart on the mainland. Focused on the highest quality, the company is one of the few independent producers in the Scotch whisky industry. This MacNaMara Port Finish Blended Whisky is a classic blended Scotch whisky, initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon casks and then finished in an ex-port cask for its distinctive character. This double maturation process enhances the complexity and imparts a pleasant sweetness to this superb blended whisky. Aromas of plum and blackcurrant, accompanied by a hint of warm black pepper spice, delight the nose. On the palate, a delightful blend of berry jam and buttered toast unfolds, rounded off by notes of ginger and a hint of nutmeg. The finish is medium-long and velvety, with the warming note of spiced apples.
