This fine MacNaMara Rum Finish blended whisky from the Pràban na Linne Distillery, located on the Isle of Sky – the largest of Scotland's Inner Hebrides – was created for whisky lovers who prefer a lighter blended Scotch whisky. The name "Pràban na Linne" means "Small smuggling business on the Sound of Sleat." The company was founded in 1976 by Scottish entrepreneur Sir Ian Noble, partly to preserve the rich heritage of Scottish Gaelic. The name MacNaMara, in turn, means "Son of the Sea." This exquisite MacNaMara Rum Finish blended whisky is made from a selection of high-quality Scotch whiskies. Its maturation of several years in ex-bourbon casks was capped by a one-year finish in a Demerara rum cask from Guyana, giving this premium blended whisky a unique and complex flavor profile. Fresh and spicy on the nose with delicate fruit notes and light smoky aromas. Slightly oily on the palate, it reveals itself as soft and sweet with subtle peat and smoke notes. A somewhat different and very successful blended Scotch whisky for connoisseurs!
