The exclusive Malteco Rum is produced in Panama from virgin cane honey (sugar cane) according to ancient traditions and time-honored recipes originating in Guatemala. Guatemala is a small country in Central America, bordered by Mexico and Honduras to the north and west, and by Belize and El Salvador to the east. Centrally located on the Isthmus of Central America, Guatemala is one of several countries with coastlines on both sides – the Pacific Ocean to the south and the Caribbean Sea to the northeast. This Malteco Rum is aged for at least 15 years in oak barrels. With its dark amber color, Malteco Rum 15YO is pleasantly smooth on the palate with intense aromas of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla.

Malteco Viejo Dorado 1.0L
This fine, golden rum (Viejo Dorado means "old gold") is produced in Panama according to an original, time-honored recipe from the "Maestro Cantineros" of Guatemala. In the southern part of this Central American country, on the Pacific coast, with its rich volcanic soils and natural water supply, optimal conditions prevail for the cultivation of high-quality sugarcane. The spirit is traditionally distilled in a column still and then aged in select oak barrels. The Caribbean sun inspired the golden color of Malteco Viejo Dorado Rum, and its naturally warm aromas are like the land from which it originates. It delights the nose and palate with wonderful notes of vanilla, spices, and floral hints. Ideally suited for the perfect Cuba Libre.

The unique Malteco 10YO Rum is produced in Panama according to an ancient, time-honored Guatemalan recipe and Guatemalan rum-making traditions. It matures for a full ten years in oak barrels on the mountain slopes of Panama. This wonderful rum is a brilliant amber color and is presented in a simple, elegant bottle with the typical Malteco bottle design featuring the stylized quetzal, a magnificent, colorful bird that inspired the legends of the Maya and Aztecs.
