The Montebello Vieux Agricole 14YO Grande Réserve Spéciale is a limited edition single-cask bottling with only 1260 bottles worldwide. It undergoes a long maturation period of at least 13 years, first in American and then in Canadian bourbon barrels. This is followed by a further maturation phase of at least 12 months in ex-cognac casks. This exceptionally long maturation process not only gives this rum its beautiful golden, transparent, and luminous color, but also a comprehensive range of aromas that demonstrate great elegance and finesse. Bottled at a cask strength of 50.6%, it surprises the palate and nose with good intensity and vibrancy. The nose initially reveals intense aromas supported by wonderful spices, before this aromatic interplay of flavors caresses the palate with a dry, rich, and rounded mouthfeel. An exceptional and flavorful rum that truly deserves its name, Grande Réserve Spéciale. Enjoy it on its own or with Roquefort cheese and light grapes.
