Père Labat Rhum Eleve Sous Bois Grand Diplomate Limited Edition originates from an exceptional terroir on the West Indies Caribbean island of Marie-Galante. This island is home to the Poisson distillery, the Père Labat brand. The distillery's estate covers more than 525 hectares and takes advantage of the island's unique climatic and territorial conditions. The brand name Père Labat is a tribute to the missionary Jean Baptiste Labat, who revolutionized distillation methods on the island. Today, the merits of this traditional craftsmanship are combined with state-of-the-art distillation techniques. This aged rum is the result of a careful selection of various vintages. The blend includes a three-year-old, as well as six-, nine-, twelve-, and fifteen-year-old rums, all matured in bourbon barrels and complemented by a wood-aged rum. The Grand Diplomate undoubtedly impresses with its distinctive flavor profile. On the palate, caramel, chocolate, and bitter orange dominate. A unique blend, bottled in a limited edition of 3,500.
