From seed to harvest to distillation and barrel aging, every step takes place on the estate itself—an uncompromising estate-to-bottle approach that authentically reflects the character of the terroir. For the Podole Wielkie 5YO Aged Okowita Rye Ex Tokaj Cask, okowita is distilled from the farm’s own Santini rye variety and aged for five years. The final finish in selected Tokaj barrels lends the spirit additional depth and blends the spicy rye character with the elegant influences of the famous Hungarian sweet wine. On the nose, delicate cereal notes meet ripe fruit and subtle oak spice. On the palate, the Okowita reveals a multi-layered profile with harmonious hints of rye, dried fruit, and a gentle sweetness accompanied by spicy wood notes.
