Distilled from the finest sugar cane molasses, it matures for 12 years in American white oak barrels that previously held bourbon whiskey. Intense, sweet, and slightly spicy on the nose, the Ron Medellin Gran Reserva 12YO is full-bodied, complex, pleasantly sweet, subtly distinctive, and spicy on the palate, with aromas of oak, sweet molasses, ripe fruit, and a touch of leather. Its finish is long and warming.
