Phenomenal Spirits of Virginia has revived the rye whiskey trend with this ultra-premium whiskey, blending tradition with innovation! The blend consists of three different whiskeys: a 14-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 3-year-old, each made from three unique whiskey grain recipes dating back to the late 1700s. To emphasize its complexity, the blend was transferred to a new, toasted American oak barrel for a further fifteen weeks of maturation before bottling at full cask strength. The nose offers beautiful notes of toasted marshmallows, dark chocolate, and baking spices. On the palate, it is complex with spicy flavors of rye, brown sugar, warm rye bread, vanilla, and cocoa. The long finish reveals warm, viscous, and lingering notes of baking spices.
