Skipper Demerara Rum is distilled in Guyana at the renowned Diamant Distillery in the capital city of Georgetown. It is a blend of rums, some of which were distilled in one of the world's last remaining wooden pot stills. Unusually, Skipper is aged in Guyana, where it is distilled, benefiting from tropical aging in once-used American whiskey barrels. The black molasses from Guyanese sugarcane is distilled in a wooden still in Port Morant, producing a warm, rich rum described as "The Best in the World."
