The story of Maison Solignac begins with Pierre Solignac, born in Versailles, who worked for a renowned French spirits company in Russia during the 1990s. Amidst this undoubtedly adventurous period, he rediscovered countless vodka recipes from the 18th century – the golden age of vodka – that had been forgotten. His passion for crafting spirits was ignited. Upon returning to his native France, he started his business in the small town of Brie-sous-Archiac in the Aveyron department. Pierre was determined to revive these ancient recipes and restore vodka to its former glory. With considerable expertise and craftsmanship, this exclusive Solignac Vodka Initiale is distilled slowly and gently in rye alcohol using a small Charentais still. This process allows subtle aromas and delicate notes of roasted rye to develop, creating a long-lasting and delightful experience for both the nose and palate. A light, sweet hint of orange blossom also emerges. This premium vodka is best enjoyed neat or slightly chilled.
