St George Baller Single Malt Whiskey 0.75L

Product information "St George Baller Single Malt Whiskey 0.75L"

St. George Spirits was founded in California in 1982. In four decades, the distillery has grown into a substantial spirits company with a diverse portfolio that includes single malt whiskeys, absinthe, and several gins, vodkas, brandies, and liqueurs. Lance Winters, Master Distiller at St. George Spirits, says of this superb, smoky single malt that it is a Californian take on Japanese Scotch whisky. Baller Single Malt is made from 100% American barley, predominantly double-row pale malted barley. After distillation in pot stills, this single malt matured for three to four years in ex-bourbon and French oak barrels. It was then filtered through maple charcoal and finished in casks that previously held umeshu (a Japanese-style stone fruit liqueur). Umeshu is made from the ume fruit grown in California. On the nose and palate, it is fresh and dry, with a hint of malty sweetness and subtle notes of lychee. It reveals a nutty, almondy character and is distinctly smoky in the long finish.
