The island paradise of Tahiti in the South Pacific covers an area of 1,042 km² and was discovered by James Cook in the 18th century. With its capital Papeete, Tahiti boasts breathtaking scenery, a wealth of exotic flora, and is the largest island in French Polynesia. Idyllically secluded, tropical, and lush, it features stunning beaches, waterfalls, lagoons, and turquoise waters that complete the picture of paradise. It's no wonder that the French painter Paul Gauguin was repeatedly drawn there to create his famous South Seas paintings. It was in this idyllic setting that the exotic, rum-based Tahiti Love Vanilla was born. The finest locally harvested sugarcane forms the basis of this rum. It is then distilled and gently macerated with the natural flavoring agent Tahitian vanilla (Vanilla Tahitensis), which is found only on Tahiti. The nose detects wonderfully pronounced rum notes with fruity nuances, while the palate offers smooth, soft, yet rich and spicy vanilla tones underpinned by beautifully intense rum notes.
