The family-run William Hinton Distillery, located on the small Portuguese island of Madeira, looks back on a centuries-old tradition of sugarcane cultivation and the subsequent production of exclusive rums. This exquisite William Hinton 600 Anos Limited Edition is a unique anniversary bottling of 600 bottles, paying tribute to William Hinton's impressive 600-year success story! It was made from the juice of the finest sugarcane batches from Madeira. This juice, somewhat similar to Rhum Agricole, then underwent an extended fermentation process and was distilled in a column still. The result is a unique and highly exclusive, unaged overproof rum with a clear white color. To the nose, it presents itself as a distinctive and authentic rum with a strong personality. It exhibits distinctly agricultural characteristics with green and herbaceous spicy notes, sweet sugarcane, and olives. On the palate, it reveals its full richness and naturalness through fresh and herbal notes. The wonderful aromas of sugar cane are very present in the taste and linger in the long and spicy finish.
