William Hinton laid the foundation for his company on the Portuguese island of Madeira in 1845 with the establishment of a sugar factory and a distillery. At the beginning of the 20th century, this distillery was among the largest on the island. However, production ceased in 1986. In 2006, William Hinton's heirs decided to continue the family tradition and, after restoring the distillery, resumed the production of the finest rums. This William Hinton Vermouth Moot is the first of its kind on Madeira and is in no way inferior in quality to the popular Madeira rums. It is a wonderful addition to the William Hinton range. A vermouth made from a semi-sweet Madeira wine and carefully distilled with a maceration of aromatic botanicals and spices typical of the island, which give it its slightly sweet taste with complex aromas. Moot is a very approachable and authentic Madeira product, perfect for all occasions, refreshing and versatile. It is recommended to serve it with ice and lemon, or simply let it inspire you to create a new cocktail.
