This Andalusian vintage sherry from Williams & Humbert was produced from the must of 20- to 60-year-old Palomino vines in the Pago de Añina and Carrascal wine regions. After fermentation, it matured for 17 long years in 24 special oak casks, developing an exceptional finesse that showcases the full richness of the Albarizas. Due to the static storage and the natural yeast content in the atmosphere, a characteristic layer of yeast, called flor, develops over time. In cases where the flor does not form, an oxidative aging process begins, resulting in an exceptionally fine sherry. The Williams Coleccion Anadas Palo Cortado En Rama 2002 Sherry was bottled in June 2023. It is a silky sherry, displaying an amber to mahogany color with golden reflections. It is characterized by great aromatic complexity with very delicate and subtle aromas. On the palate, it is very silky, fine, smooth, and extremely delicate. Hints of golden tobacco harmonize with an elegant, mineral, and very long finish that is well-balanced and very subtle.
