The overwhelming acclaim and numerous awards bestowed upon ZuPlun's rum encouraged the master distiller to expand the range with another "exotic" specialty. Like its darker counterpart, the White Rhum is distilled from Central American molasses, which arrives in Europe via the ocean and the northern port cities of Hamburg and Amsterdam. However, this rum is aged in casks that previously held dry, white sherry. The sherry deposits seal the casks against the typical wood notes and colorings, while allowing characteristic smoky aromas to infuse the distillate. It presents itself in a golden, champagne hue. On the nose, unmistakable rum notes are complemented by fruity, dry sherry notes. The final taste offers a fruity aroma, sometimes reminiscent of mezcal. Enjoy it with cured salmon.
