Zu Plun Grappa Rosenmuskateller 0.5L

Product information "Zu Plun Grappa Rosenmuskateller 0.5L"

The vibrant ruby-red Muscat of Rose is a true rarity among South Tyrolean grape varieties. Legend has it that the Prince of Campofranco brought it with him when he moved from Sicily to Caldaro in the mid-19th century. Despite its southern origins, this demanding variety thrives in the vineyards along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Yields are relatively low, the cultivated area manageable, and the vines require a particularly warm microclimate. Nevertheless, South Tyrolean winemakers consistently produce remarkable vintages of Moscato Rosa, or South Tyrolean Muscat of Rose. This delicate, aromatic dessert wine shines with a full-bodied, sweet and spicy aroma and, as its name suggests, an opulent rose fragrance. The bright color of this unique red dessert wine is naturally lost in the grappa made from Muscat of Rose pomace. Instead, its intense berry aromas and floral notes, reminiscent of dried rose petals, stand out. Like the dessert wine, this grappa harmonizes perfectly with not too sweet desserts or dried fruits - a good alternative if the dessert wine is perceived as too floral.
