Zu Plun Grappa Sylvaner 0.5L

Product information "Zu Plun Grappa Sylvaner 0.5L"

The white Silvaner, or Sylvaner, is one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties. In South Tyrol, it is primarily grown in the Eisack Valley, Italy's northernmost wine-growing region. The taste of Sylvaner is more strongly influenced by the soil composition than by most other wines. On loamy soils, it tends to be neutral, but the gravelly, mineral-rich soils of the Brixen area, with their specific microclimate, allow a minerally elegant Sylvaner to flourish, reminiscent of fresh hay and gooseberries. The Zu Plun distillery sources the pomace for its exceptionally pure, varietally typical Sylvaner Grappa from the Taschlerhof winery and the Neustift Monastery near Brixen. It presents itself as colorless and crystal clear. The nose detects a lean, fresh bouquet of forest floor, grapey and fresh. On the palate, it is elegantly mineral, with dry spice and a pleasant spiciness.
