Zu Plun Weichsel Sauerkirschbrand 0.35L

Product information "Zu Plun Weichsel Sauerkirschbrand 0.35L"

Weichselkirsche is the common name for sour cherry in the German-speaking countries of the Alpine region. Zu Plun's cherry distillate is made from the fruit of the Marasca cherry, an indigenous sour cherry variety from the Dalmatian coastal regions, which is now also cultivated in northern Italy. Compared to other cherries, this variety is smaller and more tart. The cherries used for distillation come from trees on the sun-drenched terraces around Völs am Schlern, in the Verona area, and in Valpolicella. The cherries remain on the tree until they reach the perfect balance of sugar and acid for distillation, and are then hand-picked. The distillate impresses with its multifaceted, complex fruit aromas, complemented by surprising notes of marzipan and chocolate. The full fruitiness of the cherry ensures a pleasant finish.
