Laplandia Vodka
The birth of the Laplandia brand can be described as a chain of successive events. They share a love and respect for the northern landscape and its uniqueness. The result: finely structured, authentic bottlings that are truly one of a kind.
Founded in 2009 by the company Global Drinks Finland (GDF), the Laplandia brand is built on the idea of creating a spirits brand that represents the values and character of the North. Lapland is Europe's last great wilderness – hence the slogan: "Land of Purity."
The Craft
Finland is known for its artesian groundwater springs, among the cleanest in the world, and it's precisely this water that's used in producing the bottlings. Some of these springs date back to the Ice Age and undergo the best possible natural purification process, filtering through an esker and being cleansed through thick layers of sand. These artesian waters have one of the lowest metal contents found anywhere in the world, making them completely pure and free from any bitter, slightly musty, or harsh notes. Simply pure, clean water.
The Purity
Alongside the artesian water, the base for all Laplandia vodkas is a neutral ethyl alcohol distilled to 96.3%, made from non-GMO wheat grown regionally. Distilled seven times in a continuous process, the distillates can even be certified gluten-free, since the concentration columns also filter out the wheat's gluten.
The Classic
Classic Vodka is the brand's flagship and its original creation. Here you can truly feel and taste the absolute purity of each individual component. It forms the base for the Flavoured Vodka range.
