In Lapland, the northernmost region of Finland, where the sun never sets in summer and the Northern Lights illuminate the sky in autumn, winter, and spring, lies one of the settlement areas of the Sami people. Inspired by this last great Arctic wilderness of Europe, the "Land of Purity," the Laplandia brand was created. While Laplandia vodkas reflect the well-known characteristics and attributes of Lapland, such as purity, cleanliness, and nature, aroma and taste are also paramount in their production. This exceptional vodka bears the name Eclipse—the solar eclipse—a rare phenomenon and an event that few of us ever witness. Laplandia Eclipse Vodka is presented in a tinted bottle with a silver sheen, reminiscent of a solar eclipse, representing the finest glassmaking. The bottle contains a vodka based on seven-times distilled wheat and the purest Finnish groundwater. A drop of xylitol, the natural birch sugar sourced from deep within Lapland's birch forests, was added for a smooth finish. On the palate, this vodka is wonderfully soft and smooth.
