A delicious rum liqueur from the Dominican Republic with a hint of raisins in its flavor. This rum liqueur wasn’t created just for the ladies. Espero Creole Elixir Rum is made from the finest añejo rum, aged for seven years in American oak barrels. It is macerated with raisins for one month. After maceration, the raisins are pressed, and the resulting delicious juice is added to the rum. Elixirs are traditionally Cuban in origin and can be served as both an aperitif and a digestif. A delicate rum flavor, combined with raisins and a pleasant honey-like sweetness, makes this Espero Creole Elixir liqueur truly unique. An unconventional aperitif or digestif that can be enjoyed either “on the rocks” or at room temperature.

First, the distillate matured for six years in an ex-bourbon barrel at its place of origin. This was followed by four more years of aging using the Solera method, initially in an ex-sherry cask and then in an ex-Banyuls cask.
