Its name says it all: Gold of Mauritius Rum originates from the paradisiacal island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. This elegant gift set includes a 0.7 L bottle of Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum. This is a blend of various single distillates made from the finest local sugarcane molasses. After careful distillation, the blend was aged for six to eight months in former sweet wine casks to achieve its unique dark rum style. Alongside this is a small 0.05 L bottle of Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum Solera 5. This blend of three premium rums, perfectly selected and balanced, is aged for five years using the Solera method to fully develop its individual flavor profile. The third 0.05 L bottle in the set, Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum Solera 8, is a new rum that has aged for eight years using the Solera method and has taken the Gold of Mauritius brand to a new level. At the 2020-2021 World Spirits Awards, it won the "Médaille d'Or" in the Top Rum category with the rating "Sensational".
