This exceptional rum is produced by Destilerias Arehucas, located on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria. Although founded in August 1884 under the name La Fábrica, it wasn't until 1965 that the company was renamed Destilerias Arehucas. Initially, Arehucas rum was known and loved exclusively in Spain, but it quickly gained renown beyond its borders. The company is proud to possess one of the oldest and most prestigious rum cellars in Europe. This rum, made from locally grown sugarcane, is distilled in column stills and then aged for at least one year in American white oak barrels. Arehucas Carta Oro 1 YO Miniatures, where Oro means gold, presents itself in a deep golden hue and is a well-balanced rum with a clearly defined, refined aroma. Delicate, soft spice notes combine with hints of sweet vanilla and fresh citrus aromas such as orange peel, harmoniously rounding off the elegant flavor profile.
