Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserve Double Cask Cognac is made from the finest Caribbean rum. This rum is initially matured in high-quality ex-bourbon barrels, before undergoing an exceptional finishing period of 12 to 16 months in superb ex-cognac casks made of French Limousin oak. It is here that this unique rum acquires its magnificent amber color. Thanks to this second maturation in former cognac casks, this double cask rum has much to offer on the nose and palate. It boasts an alluringly balanced aroma of sweet fruits, complemented by subtle spices. Powerful, complex, and full-bodied, it delights the palate with fruity notes and a gently spicy finish.
