The original company founder, Albert Michler, was supposedly nicknamed "Old Bert" by his friends. Old Bert Jamaican Spiced is a premium spirit made from 100% Jamaican rum distilled using the pot still method, blended with a natural macerate of various botanicals such as Persian lime, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, and peppercorns. This delicious Jamaican spiced rum spent at least five years maturing in select American oak barrels. The nose offers the typical Jamaican rum style: intensely aromatic with subtle citrus notes. The palate reveals similar characteristics, accompanied by pleasantly sweet notes of fruity lemon and lovely vanilla – overall, slightly spicy. The eye-catching bottle label depicts "Old Bert" wearing a top hat, intentionally omitting any facial features, surrounded by colorful, fantastical symbols from paradise, including bizarre creatures such as a toucan, a monkey, a flying lizard, a snake, and much more. The entire graphic design was created and hand-painted by a young artist specifically for this project, requiring a great deal of time.
