Albert Michler has a long tradition of crafting select spirits. Michler’s Old Bert Cream Spiced Liqueur draws on this history and pays homage to Albert Michler, whom his friends traditionally called “Old Bert.” The base of this cream liqueur is aged Jamaican rum, refined with a cream-spiced infusion, natural vanilla, and select spice notes. Cream and egg yolk give it its characteristic creamy texture. On the nose, delicate vanilla aromas blend with caramel, milk cream, and aged Jamaican rum, while subtle hints of spice add depth. On the palate, the liqueur is velvety smooth and full-bodied. Sweet vanilla, toffee, and mild spice notes blend with the character of the aged Jamaican rum, leading to a long, smooth finish. Old Bert also makes a visual statement: The hand-drawn label wraps around the bottle as a continuous work of art, depicting the mysterious figure in a surreal fantasy world. He was one of the first importers of authentic Jamaican rum to Central Europe and also a supplier of genuine rum to the Austrian Imperial Navy. The famous and well-traveled founder, Albert Michler, was affectionately known as "Old Bert" by his friends, and in his honor, a series of excellent Michler Rums has been created and named after him. This 100% Jamaican rum is a blend of pot still and column still distillates. On the nose, Michler's Old Bert Rum is very aromatic with fruity hints. The palate reveals the typical Jamaican rum style: slightly smoky and fruity with lovely vanilla notes. And as one connoisseur in Jamaica would say: "Real funky man!"

This Michler Old Bert Summer Spiced is a premium spirit made from 100% Jamaican pot still rum and infused with exotic spices such as Persian limes, cloves, cardamom, ginger, grapefruit, guava, and peppercorns. On the nose, it is intense and fresh with notes of classic rum, tropical fruits, and sweet sugarcane. On the palate, it presents itself as a typical pot still rum: pleasantly slightly sweet, citrusy, tropically fruity, and slightly spicy. This results in a perfectly balanced flavor of rum, spices, and tropical fruits, with dominant notes of red grapefruit and guava. The elaborate wraparound bottle label—hand-painted by a young artist specifically for this project—features Old Bert wearing a top hat in the center. His face is intentionally obscured.
