On the back of the bottle label, Old Bert is depicted in a stylish top hat – his face deliberately remains hidden. The hand-painted graphics by a young artist tell the story of Bert's imaginary world, a paradise of Jamaican forests and the legendary Blue Mountain. The unifying design elements in green, red, blue, and, of course, black, harmonize with the textured fine paper and the green embossed logo. Old Bert Kingston Spiced Recipe No. 140 is made from the finest Jamaican pot still rum, carefully refined with Persian lime, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, and peppercorns. The result: intensely rum-like, with an elegant citrus note on the nose, pleasantly sweet and slightly spicy on the palate, accompanied by tropical fruits and vanilla.
