Product information "The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish Non Chill Filtered 0.7L -GB-"
With the Red Silkie Pomerol Finish, the Silkie Irish Whiskey range takes a new direction. This limited edition aimed to explore the Silkie flavor profile by finishing it in ex-Pomerol wine casks from Château Clos L'Église in Bordeaux. The connection between Ireland and France stretches back centuries, and Pomerol, with its distinctive richness and floral notes, lends the whiskey exceptional depth of character. The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish Non-Chill Filtered is a complex whiskey bottled without chill filtration. It presents itself in rose gold to amber hues with a hint of sparkle. The nose is intense and layered, with notes of tarte tartin, candied orange peel, a touch of licorice, and a floral violet note. On the palate, it is smooth, rich, and soft – raspberries, dried oranges, baked apples, pipe tobacco, raisins in butter, and muscovado. There's a refreshing saltiness and rich tannins; angelica and woody spices round it out. Its finish is rich, sweet, salty, ashy, and oh yes... those red berries!
